Weekend break in Prishtina, Kosovo is a 4 days program, with all the overnights in Prishtina and daily excursions to some of the main touristic sites of Kosovo, such as the UNESCO town of Prizren, the marble cave of Gadime, the Monastery of Gracanica and the archeological site of Ulpiana.

Arrival in Pristina Airport – Pristina city tour
Arrival in Prishtina airport and transfer to the hotel in Prishtina city center. In the afternoon guided tour to explore the capital city.
During the city tour of Prishtina, we will walk by the old part of the city, and see the Museum of Kosova, the Stone Mosque, Jashar Pasha Mosque, the Bazaar, the Clock Tower, the Big Mosque, the Hamam (Turkish public bath), Mother Tereza Boulevard, the Independence House, the famous Newborn Monument, the Mother Teresa Cathedral, the Statue of American President Bill Clinton, National Gallery, and the famous building of National Library with its unique architecture. Dinner at a local restaurant and overnight in Prishtina.
Prishtina – Archeological Site of Ulpiana – Gracanica Monastery – Gadime cave – Prishtina
Today we take an excursions in two interesting touristic sites near Prishtina; the archaeological site of Ulpiana and the Monastery of Gracanica.
Ulpiana shows the ruins of an Illyrian kingdom pre-dating the Romans , which further developed more under the Roman Empire. During the years Ulpiana has suffered numerous earthquakes and barbarian tribes’ attacks. After this archaeological visit, we transfer to Gracanica Monastery, Gracanica was founded in 1321 by Serbian King Stefan Milutin and declared Monument of Culture of Exceptional Importance in 1990. Since 2006 Gracanica Monastery is part of the UNESCO’s World Heritage List. The monastery has beautiful medieval-era paintings and a nice chapel with vivid murals.
Further we visit Gadime Cave, a 1.2 km deep marble cave, full of crystallised stalactites and stalagmites, formed over millions of years. The cave was discovered in 1969. We take a guided tour that will allow us to visit the first 440 meters of the cave.
Afternoon return to Prishtina for another dinner and overnight in the capital.
Excursion to Prizren
Today we enjoy an excursion to Prizren, an open air museum, part of UNESCO, with lots of history and a delicious cuisine. Prizren is located on the banks of the Bistrica River. We take a city tour, including a visit to Sinan Pasha Mosque, the Church of Our Lady Ljevis, Prizren Fortress, and the Albanian League of Prizren, an archeological museum boasting many ancient artefacts from the region. We enjoy lunch in a local restaurant with traditional menu, before our return to Podgorica for dinner and overnight.

Breakfast at the hotel. Free morning in Prishtina, until time for the airport transfer.
